  • BUTTON SOCKET CAP, THERMAL BLACK OXIDE, ALLOY

Socket cap screws are a headed and externally threaded part designed for insertion through a close tolerance, internally tapped hole and mated with a nut. Tension on the socket cap screw is induced by rotation of the screw head. There is a hex socket in the head that accepts a hex wrench to tighten the socket cap screw. The point at the threaded end of the socket cap screw is machined flat so it will fit into a drilled hole.

Button head socket cap screws have a domed-shaped head that is wider and has a lower profile than a socket head cap screw.

  • FLAT SOCKET CAP, THERMAL BLACK OXIDE, ALLOY

Socket cap screws are a headed and externally threaded part designed for insertion through a close tolerance, internally tapped hole and mated with a nut. Tension on the socket cap screw is induced by rotation of the screw head. There is a hex socket in the head that accepts a hex wrench to tighten the socket cap screw. The point at the threaded end of the socket cap screw is machined flat so it will fit into a drilled hole.

Flat head socket cap screws are similar in design to a button head socket cap screw but with an 82º countersunk flat head.

  • HEX KEYS 6150 CRV ALLOY, LONG ARM, BLACK (IMPORT)

A hex key is a six-sided shaped bar bent at a 90º angle at one end. A hex bit is an unbent piece of such a bar.

They are designed to be inserted into a like-sized, hollow recess of a socket cap screw to manually tighten or loosen the fastener.

  • LOW HEAD SOCKET CAP, THERMAL BLACK OXIDE, ALLOY

Socket cap screws are a headed and externally threaded part designed for insertion through a close tolerance, internally tapped hole and mated with a nut. Tension on the socket cap screw is induced by rotation of the screw head. There is a hex socket in the head that accepts a hex wrench to tighten the socket cap screw. The point at the threaded end of the socket cap screw is machined flat so it will fit into a drilled hole.

Low head socket cap screws are similar in design to a socket head cap screw except the head height is 50% shorter and the socket size is smaller.

  • METRIC 12.9 BUTTON SOCKET CAP, ISO 7380, THERMAL BLACK OXIDE, ALLOY

Socket cap screws are a headed and externally threaded part designed for insertion through a close tolerance, internally tapped hole and mated with a nut. Tension on the socket cap screw is induced by rotation of the screw head. There is a hex socket in the head that accepts a hex wrench to tighten the socket cap screw. Button head socket cap screws have a domed-shaped head that is wider and has a lower profile than a socket head cap screw.

  • METRIC 12.9 FLAT SOCKET CAP, DIN 7991, THERMAL BLACK OXIDE, ALLOY

Socket cap screws are a headed and externally threaded part designed for insertion through a close tolerance, internally tapped hole and mated with a nut. Tension on the socket cap screw is induced by rotation of the screw head. There is a hex socket in the head that accepts a hex wrench to tighten the socket cap screw. The point at the threaded end of the socket cap screw is machined flat so it will fit into a drilled hole.

Flat head socket cap screws are similar in design to a button head socket cap screw but with an 82º countersunk flat head.

  • METRIC HEX KEYS 6150 CRV ALLOY, SHORT ARM, BLACK (IMPORT)

Hex keys are a six-sided shaped bar bent at a 90º angle at one end. A hex bit is an unbent piece of such a bar.

They are designed to be inserted into a like-sized, hollow recess of a socket cap screw to manually tighten or loosen the fastener.

  • METRIC 10.9 LOW HEAD SOCKET CAP, DIN 7984, THERMAL BLACK OXIDE, ALLOY

Socket cap screws are a headed and externally threaded part designed for insertion through a close tolerance, internally tapped hole and mated with a nut. Tension on the socket cap screw is induced by rotation of the screw head. There is a hex socket in the head that accepts a hex wrench to tighten the socket cap screw. The point at the threaded end of the socket cap screw is machined flat so it will fit into a drilled hole.

Low head socket cap screws are similar in design to a socket head cap screw except the head height is 50% shorter and the socket size is smaller.

  • METRIC 12.9 SOCKET HEAD CAP SCREW, DIN 912, THERMAL BLACK OXIDE, ALLOY

Socket head cap screws are a headed and externally threaded part designed for insertion through a close tolerance, internally tapped hole and mated with a nut. Tension on the socket cap screw is induced by rotation of the screw head. There is a hex socket in the head that accepts a hex wrench to tighten the socket cap screw. The point at the threaded end of the socket cap screw is machined flat so it will fit into a drilled hole

  • CUP POINT SOCKET SET SCREW, THERMAL BLACK OXIDE, ALLOY

Socket set screws are headless and threaded over their entire length. There is a hex or square-shaped socket at the top of the drive in place of a head. Socket set screws come with either cup or knurl cup points shaped to bear on a mating part. The fact that the socket set screw is without head allows it to go in flush. Socket set screws are often found in electronics, in pulleys and shafts, and other places where flush mounting and space are import concerns. They are also used for internal wrenching and where frequent disassembly or adjustment occurs.

  • METRIC 12.9 SOCKET SHOULDER SCREW, ISO 7379, THERMAL BLACK OXIDE, ALLOY

Socket shoulder screws (also called stripper bolts) are ground to very close tolerances, with a thick shoulder usually running 80 percent of the length of the shaft. In measuring the socket shoulder screw, it is the diameter and length of its shoulder that determines its size. The socket shoulder screw does not have a point. The socket head is a recessed head in which the sides of the recess are parallel to the body axis, into which a wrench fits.

Socket shoulder screws are used in applications requiring low limited clearance, where parts may not be thick enough to be counterbored, and/or where loading capacity is not critical.

  • LOCKING SOCKET JAM SCREW, PLAIN, ALLOY (USA)

Socket jam screws are used to lock set screws, springs, and flow controls into tapped holes. The full length hex socket permits access from either end or visual inspection of the locked part.

  • PIPE PLUGS, HEX DRY SEAL 3/4 TAPER, BLACK, ALLOY (USA)

A dry seal plug is one having a tapered (3/4" diametral per 12") thread extending its entire length and designed to have its threads mesh tightly with those of a taper-threaded hole.

A flush type plug is one having a tapered (7/8" diametral per 12") thread extending its entire length and designed to provide a flush condition with a standard tapped hole
